PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the contact pin for an IC socket capable of securing the contact with lead terminals of the IC chip at a low price even in the case any of adhesive foreign matter is attached on the contact part of the contact pin which cannot be removed by wiping. SOLUTION: A contact pin 10 is composed of three pins of 11, 12 and 13 superposed parallelly. Each of the three pins comprises: protruding contact parts 11a, 12a, and 13a for being in contact with lead terminal of the IC chip; curvature parts 11b, 12b and 13b for keeping the contact pressure; and mounting connecting parts 11c, 12c and 13c for mounting connected with the circuit substrate for inspection electrically. Therein, each of the curved parts 11b, 12b and 13b bends independently. At this time, the protruding contact parts 11a, 12a and 13a are formed on the position different from the curved part in an extending direction so as to differ in each contact position to the lead terminal of the IC chip.
