VEHICULAR ROUTE CALCULATION APPARATUS AND VEHICULAR ROUTE CALCULATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular route calculation apparatus that increases the calculation accuracy of vehicle speed at contact with obstacles and selects a route avoiding contact with obstacles relatively high in speed relative to an associated vehicle. SOLUTION: The vehicular route calculation apparatus has a function as an avoidance determination means 13a for periodically repeatedly determining whether or not a vehicle 200 can avoid contact with obstacles 1 to 3 according to information acquired by rotary encoders 12 and cameras 11, and a function as a route selection means 13b for calculating relative speeds at contact with the obstacles while considering a reduction in deceleration due to side motion of the vehicle 200, and selecting a route to contact with the obstacle that is the relatively lowest in the calculated relative speed.
