PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door lining fixing structure and fixing method capable of enhancing working effectiveness in installing. SOLUTION: An assist grip 12 installed on the cabin inside of the door lining 11 is secured to a bracket 13 installed on the cabin outside of the door lining 11, in which the bracket 13 is extended to the opening 35 for an inner handle formed in the door lining 11, and when this is to be secured to a door inner panel 63 through the opening 35, the inner handle 45 is positioned between the bracket 13 and the door lining 11 while the bracket 13 is secured to the door inner panel 63 through a working hole 58 formed in the inner handle 45.
