PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a warper for a pattern warp, capable of reflecting the prescribed characteristics of the pattern warp to a design or the like at warping. SOLUTION: The warper 1 is equipped with a warping drum 2, a plurality of yarn guides 7 capable of revolving around the warping drum 2, and rotary creel 3 having a plurality of bobbins 4, and a plurality of yarn passages in which the yarns 5 taken out from the bobbins 4 pass is formed between the rotary creel 3 and the yarn guides 7. Tension sensors 12 for detecting the tensions of the yarns, and tensioning devices 14 capable of regulating the tensions of the yarns are arranged in each yarn passage. The tension sensor and the tensioning device are connected to a controlling mechanism 15.
