<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium which obtains stable tracking control, stable focus control and satisfactory electrical characteristic in driving of a real machine by reducing an error rate with respect to a position information area. <P>SOLUTION: The optical recording medium 10 has a substrate 12 which has a first pregroove 28A and a second pregroove 28B formed on one of its main surface, an optical function layer formed on the one of the main surfaces of the substrate 12 and including one or more recording layers, and a light-transmission layer formed arranged so as to cover the optical function layer. At an innermost-peripheral part in the one of the main surfaces of the substrate 12, the position information area 26 used for obtaining position information of recorded data at least is provided. The second pregroove 28B in the position information area 26 has a groove width W2 of 80 to 140 nm, a groove depth h2 of 30 to 60 nm, and a wobble amplitude of ≥30 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
