<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which suppresses inferiority of transfer and fluctuation of the transfer and forms an image with a high quality, and also to provide an image forming method. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 has: an image carrier 1; a developer feeding means 5 for feeding a heat-melting developer to the image carrier; a writing means 30 for providing an energy corresponding to image information to the developer fed by the developer feeding means and selectively activating the developer; an image carrier pressing means 19 for pressing the image carrier in the direction orthogonal to a temporarily fixing face of the developer of the image carrier at a position facing the developer feeding means; a temporarily fixing means for temporarily fixing the developer activated by the writing means on the image carrier; and a transferring means 13 for transferring the developer temporarily fixed on the image carrier on the image medium and heat-welding it thereon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
