<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device which can print a design on a label surface of an optical disk in a nonstandard shape provided with no index mark thereon, and which never causes defects on the design even in the result of printing the design on such a label surface. <P>SOLUTION: The device is equipped with a rotation mechanism 13 comprising a rotating position detection means which rotates the optical disk 7 and detects its rotating position, a sensor 23 which detects presence of the label surface of the optical disk 7, a control circuit 51 which has a shape measurement part 39 for measuring the shape of the label surface of the optical disk 7 based on the results obtained by the sensor 23 and the rotating position detection means, and a printer head 21 for printing the design based on the measured shape of the label surface of the optical disk 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
