<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which allows a photoreceptor to be speedily shifted from a printing rotation state to a post-rotational state. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is constituted so that timing action of a timer 33 is started in a state of being able to carry out next paper supplying, and when the timing for a predetermined time is completed by the timer 33, the photoreceptor drum 31 is shifted to the post-rotational state, and subjected to cleaning processing to stop printing action. When the print processing for a planned number of pieces is completed during timing action of the timer 33 and a stopping instruction is notified to a printer engine 32 from a printer controller 36, the photoreceptor drum 31 is shifted to the post-rotational state, and subjected to cleaning processing to stop printing action even when the timing for the specified time is not completed by the timer 33. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
