<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead-acid storage battery in which aging defect is reduced and battery performance is improved by adding a fixed amount of water to an electrode plate before preliminary drying. <P>SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of the electrode plate for the lead-acid storage battery fabricated by filling a paste like active material into a substrate of a lead alloy having lead as the main component, and next by applying the preliminary drying, aging, and drying, after the paste like active material is filled into the substrate, by adding water to a surface of the electrode plate, moisture content of the paste like active material is improved by 1% or more than that at filling the paste like active material, and furthermore, temperature of water added to the surface of the electrode plate is made 25°C or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
