<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system and a distribution management device to acquire printed matter from a nearby image forming device using a mobile terminal. <P>SOLUTION: When a fax is received in a facsimile device 11, fax received data or the like is first sent to the distribution management device 20 and managed as print data in the distribution management device 20. A receiver cellphone 40 carried by a user is notified by the distribution management device 20 that the fax is received, and a multifunction machine starts searching the cellphone 40 in response to instructions from the distribution management device 20.
