<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermodiscoloring composition for a reversible heat-sensitive recording medium which can produce a significant discoloration difference. <P>SOLUTION: This thermodiscoloring composition includes (A) an electron-donative, coloring organic compound (in the embodiment, the compounds to be used are a 2'-[(2-chlorophenyl) amino]-6'-(dibutyl amino)-spiro[isobenzofluoran-1(3H) and a 9'-(9H) xanthene]-3-0N), (B) an electron-acceptive compound (phenols and their metallic salt, are favorably used and in the embodiment, a 2,2-bis (4-hydroxyphenyl) propane is used), and (C) a desensitizer. In addition, for the desensitizer, an ester of a hydroxy-carboxylic acid and an alcohol is used (especially, a lactate and a 12-hydroxystearate are favorably used).
