<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent needless consumption of developer in an image forming system of an image forming apparatus using an intermediate transfer method. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 using the intermediate transfer method is provided with: a paper supplying cassette 10 storing paper P for carrying out image formation; the image forming system carrying out image formation to the paper P conveyed from the paper supplying cassette 10; and a detection part 41 detecting the number of sheets of the paper P stored in the paper supplying cassette 10. Before the paper P stored to the paper supplying cassette 10 is conveyed to the image forming system, writing of an image for carrying out image formation to the paper P is carried out by the image forming system. The image forming apparatus 100 has an image writing sequence in the image forming system varied linked to detection in a detection part 41 in order to evade visualizing by toner by detection by a detection part 41 that the number of sheets of paper P stored in the paper supplying cassette 10 is one sheet or more and is equal to or less than the number of sheets set beforehand. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
