PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor memory device having host interfacing function among processors while being accessible for multipath. SOLUTION: The semiconductor memory device is equipped with: shared memory areas, at least one or more of which are assigned in a memory cell array, while being operatively connected with ports independently arranged according to the number of a plurality of processors and selectively accessed by the plurality of processors; an access path forming section for forming data access path between a selected one port among the aforementioned ports and the shared memory area in accordance with an external signal applied from the processor; and an interface section including a semaphore area and a mailbox area, which are accessed in counterposition according to a specific address of the shared memory area for the purpose of providing the interfacing function at the communication among the plurality of processors.
