PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly retrieve a desired content from various kinds of contents and to selectively acquire a high or low quality output of the retrieved content. SOLUTION: Various original contents are stored as high-quality contents in a memory of an external apparatus, and in a memory 11 inside a cellular phone, the original contents with lowered quality are stored. Based on time information of the low-quality contents, a list of the various contents is displayed on a calendar type display screen in time sequence. Through the list display, a desired content can be retrieved quickly. When the desired content is selected from the list, a selection screen for selecting high quality or low quality is displayed. An output command instructing output of the low-quality contents in the internal memory 11 is transmitted by radio when the low-quality output is selected, while an output command instructing output of the high-quality contents stored in the memory of the external apparatus is transmitted by radio when the high-quality output is selected.
