PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve communication quality by appropriately executing handover regardless of fast movement of a radio communication terminal and reducing a frequency in handover, in a radio communication system wherein a small cell base station is disposed adjacently to a large cell base station. SOLUTION: A radio communication method in the radio communication system wherein a first radio base station is disposed adjacently to a second radio base station including an adaptive array antenna for radiating a dynamic directional beam includes steps of: acquiring a moving speed of a radio communication terminal placed within a cell of the first radio base station; requesting the second radio base station in a periphery of the cell of the first radio base station to radiate the directional beam toward a cell of the first radio base station if the moving speed is equal to or higher than a prescribed threshold; and causing the second radio base station which has radiated the directional beam in response to the request, to store the radio communication terminal.
