PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biologically active substance-containing coated granular material coated with a resin that has decomposability in soil and is provided with appropriate elution controllability of the biologically active substance. SOLUTION: The coated granular material is obtained by coating a biologically active substance-containing granular material with a urethane resin which is obtained by reacting an aromatic polydisocyanate, a polyester polyol having in the molecule an oxy-carbonyl [-O-C(=O)-] partial structure at a rate of at least 15% (in terms of weight), and a polyol containing 2-8C polymethylene glycol.
