PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide corticosteroid effective on the therapy in the treatment of diseases of airway passages and lungs such as asthma, and exhibiting low bioavailability and low systemic side effects when administered by intra-nasally or oral inhalation. SOLUTION: The aerosolized medicament for the once-a-day treatment of asthma by oral inhalation for initial treatment or maintenance treatment in the substantial absence of systemic absorption into the bloodstream of mometasone furoate contains the mometasone furoate.
