PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base-isolated structure which is excellent in its shape retentivity even if it is exposed to a high temperature for a long period of time. SOLUTION: This base-isolated structure is characterized as follows: a base-isolating laminated rubber support is arranged between upper and lower structures; a thermally-expansible inorganic fireproof sheet is arranged in such a manner as to surround the entire perimeter of the base-isolating laminated rubber support from a periphery; the upper end and/or lower end of the thermally-expansible inorganic fireproof sheet are/is fixed to any one of the upper structure, the lower structure, an upper base plate of the base-isolating laminated rubber support, and a lower base plate thereof; the thermally-expansible inorganic fireproof sheet consists of 55-85 wt.% inorganic fibers, a 5-30 wt.% thermally-expansible inorganic substance, a 5-25 wt.% inorganic binder, and a 5-15 wt.% organic binder; and the inorganic binder, which is contained in the thermally-expansible inorganic fireproof sheet, is composed of a sinterable inorganic material with a melting point of 650-1,000°C.
