PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat shrinkable polyester-based film suitable as a beverage container label exhibiting good releasability in an aqueous solution of an alkali while having excellent adhesiveness to various inks and having excellent various characteristics such as blocking resistance and slipperiness. SOLUTION: The heat shrinkable polyester-based film has≥50% heat shrinkability in the maximum shrinkage direction when a sample cut out of a film into a 10 cm×10 cm square form is dipped in hot water at 95°C for 10 s and then pulled up. Furthermore, the heat shrinkable polyester-based film has 0.2-5.0 atom% of nitrogen atom content in the outermost layer of the first surface of the film,≤0.28μd coefficient of dynamic friction between the mutual second surfaces of the film and≤0.30μd coefficient of dynamic friction of the mutual second surfaces of the film after the film is dipped in hot water at 80°C for 20 s while shrinking the film by 10% in the maximum shrinkage direction, pulled up and naturally dried in an atmosphere at 23°C and 65% relative humidity for 24 h.
