A hand-warmer is provided to use a battery effectively and heat a heat radiation body for a long time by using a rectangular secondary battery made of a lithium ion secondary battery or a lithium polymer battery. A hand-warmer comprises a battery(1), a case(2) having the battery, a heater(3) heated by the battery embedded in the case, and a heat radiation plate(4) heat combined to the heater. The battery is a rectangular secondary battery having a rectangular lithium ion secondary battery or a lithium polymer battery whose opposed two sides are flat surfaces(1a). The heater as a heat radiation body is opposed to the flat surface of the battery. A shielding plate(5) is installed between the heat radiation body and the flat surface of the battery. The case has the heat radiation plate made of a metal plate heated by the heat radiation body. The flat surfaces of the rectangular secondary battery, the shielding plate, the heat radiation body, and the heat radiation plate are laminated. The heat radiation body heats the heat radiation plate of the surface of the case. The heat radiation body is a flat type.
