A device for guiding a rolled steel material of a cooling stand trough is provided to be able to improve productivity by promptly removing miss rolls generated in the cooling stand trough. In a cooling stand trough having a steel material guiding device installed on a support of the cooling stand trough used in the rolling process to guide a steel material, a device for guiding a rolled steel material of the cooling stand trough comprises: a guiding trough(22) which has a "U" shaped cross section, and guides a steel material; a guiding plate(24) placed on an end portion of an opening of the guiding trough to prevent separation of the steel material; a mounting flange(26) projected from an outer surface of the guiding trough to fix the guiding trough to the support; and separation preventing units(30) installed on the guiding trough to prevent the guiding plate from being separated. The separation preventing units include flanges(32) which are welded to both side faces of the guiding trough, and in which facing holes(32a) are formed, a fixing pin(34) inserted into the holes of the flanges to prevent separation of the guiding plate, and a sleeve(36) which is formed between the flanges, and into which the fixing pin is inserted.
