A test device for a steering column is provided to repeat a test for evaluating reliability and durability of a position sensor and a limit sensor of the steering column, in an assembled state. A test device for a steering column includes a test operation part(1), an input/output signal generating part(3), a simulation part(5), and a signal drive part(7). The test operation part has a steering column(9) mounted thereon. A plurality of position detection sensors detects tilting and telescopic operation of the steering column to output the signals. The input/output signal generating part applies a reproduction signal to a tilting measuring frame and a telescopic measurement frame. The simulation part compares the input signals. The signal drive part converts the signal output from the simulation part into the signals of the input/output signal generating part.
