PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new moss ball cultivating method capable of producing a moss ball of a desired shape and size without taking troublesome labor, and enabling great cost reduction. SOLUTION: This moss ball cultivating method comprises crushing collected moss to a powdery state, sprinkling the product over the surface of the root ball of a plant stock, and conducting growing management through attaching a string for water supply to the root ball to perform bottom water supply, or performing mat water supply without a string.
