PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a constant stable cooling wind volume in a range from low-speed rotation to high-speed rotation, to reduce noise in a range of the high-speed rotation, to facilitate assembling and manufacturing by adopting a simple shape capable of eliminating a guide plate, and to reduce cost, in a ventilation fan of a self-ventilation cooling type rotating electric machine for a vehicle. SOLUTION: In a self-ventilation cooling type main motor which makes a cooling wind communicate in the rotating electric machine, and discharges the wind to the outside from the other-end side wind discharging port, a plurality of pieces of main plates 21 and blades 22 of the ventilation fan 19 are arranged, and ventilation holes are formed at the main plates.
