PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology whereby a video intercom communicable with an external terminal inputs/outputs information in two ways so that the video intercom and the external terminal can mutually utilize the information. SOLUTION: The intercom master unit (video intercom) 2 and the external terminal 3 are made communicable through a network. The external terminal 3 transmits external information to the intercom master unit 2. The intercom master unit 2 records the external information to a recording section 32 and displays the external information on a display section 21. The display section 21 also displays image information imaged by a camera of an intercom slave unit 1. The intercom master unit 2 transmits the external information or the image information to the external terminal 3 in response to a request from the external terminal 3. The external terminal 3 can utilize the information. The intercom master unit 2 controls the intercom slave unit 1 to activate the camera according to an instruction of the external terminal 3.
