PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-density fiberboard capable of preventing a projection formed around a part to which a fastener is driven when the fastener is driven to a high-density fiberboard, from projecting outward from each of upper and lower surfaces of the high-density fiberboard. SOLUTION: The high-density fiberboard 5 having a density of 0.8 (g/cm<SP>3</SP>) or more and being fixed by the fastener B to serve as a floor material is provided with slits S formed in the areas, including the parts H to which the fasteners B are driven, of each of upper and lower surfaces of the high-density fiber board 5.
