PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide horizontal push switches of one-step operation type and two-step operation type in which excellent operating characteristics of a dome-shaped metal plate can be obtained as a movable contact, which are down-sized and thin in thickness, and which have high contact reliability. SOLUTION: This switch is provided with a pusher 9 integrally formed with a slanted part 9a to convert an operation force in the moving direction of a push button 11 to the operation direction of the dome-shaped metal plate, a hinge part 9b having flexibility to move this slanted part 9b in the operation direction of the dome-shaped metal plate, and a pressing part 9c to press down the dome-shaped metal plate.
