PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having a display panel in which a non-display area due to an electric circuit, a sealing frame, etc. is made small, and which is hardly affected by outside air. SOLUTION: The display device is constituted by combining: the display panel comprising a display driving circuit board, a transparent electrode board, and a display part held between the display driving circuit board and transparent electrode board; a display driving circuit mounting board having electrodes electrically connected to electrode pads of the display driving circuit board making the display part perform a display operation via an electric connection part; and a member which covers the whole display panel and has gas barrier properties while having at least a conduction hole formed for the electric connection part. The display part can be prevented from deforming or deteriorating, and the non-display area can be made small. A display device having an arbitrary screen size can be constituted by combining a plurality of driving circuit mounting boards as units, so manufacturing efficiency is improved and then the costs are reduced.
