PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To elucidate the function of dendritic cell immunoreceptor (DCIR), to clarify its role in the onset of autoimmune arthritis, and to provide a method for screening a substance which is useful in treating/preventing an autoimmune disease or osteoporosis. SOLUTION: The nonhuman disease model animal has a partial or entire deficiency of a gene encoding the DCIR protein on the chromosome. The method for screening a substance which is useful in treating/preventing a DCIR-related disease, for example, an autoimmune disease such as arthropathy by using the nonhuman disease model animal.
