Provided is a configuration for realizing an effective reproduction and edition of recorded data in an information recording medium. An information processing device executes recording of a GOP attribute indicating whether decoding of a GOP containing a mark as mark management information corresponding to a PLM (=EM) mark as reproduction start point information defined in the AVCD format requires decoding information on other GOP. Reproduction and edition are performed by referencing the information. With this configuration, it is possible to prevent unnecessary decoding in a reproduction process and perform edition without leaving unnecessary data in an edition process.
