OIL-IN-WATER-TYPE EMULSION COMPOSITION

Disclosed is an oil-in-water-type emulsion composition comprising (a) a hydrophobically modified polyether urethane (an associating thickener), (b) a hydrophobic powder (e.g., hydrophobized titanium dioxide), (c) a dispersing agent (e.g., polyglycerin modified silicone, acryl silicone, polyoxyalkylene modified silicone), and (d) a thickening polysaccharide (e.g., succinoglycan, xanthan gum). The components (a) and (d) are contained in the outer phase (aqueous phase), and the components (b) and (c) are contained in the inner phase. It becomes possible to provide an oil-in-water-type emulsion composition containing a powdery component, which can exert the thickening effect of the associating thickener satisfactorily and is excellent in usability and stability.
