[PROBLEMS] To provide a DC motor in which the wear resistance of first brushes is enhanced with excellent control response since the contact area of the first brushes is increased without increasing the size of a disk having a commutator, and the size of the DC motor is reduced by remarkably reducing the axial length thereof. [MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEMS] The first brushes (14) are brought into contact with the commutator (11) from the radial direction. Second brushes (15) are brought into contact with slip rings (12) formed on the inner peripheral side of the commutator (11) from the axial direction.
