<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a shutter release moment to take a good picture from being missed by shortening time required until focusing when a release button is depressed again. <P>SOLUTION: The camera has the release button, a timer, a memory and a control part. The timer measures elapsed time after the depressing of the release button is released. The memory stores focus area information showing a focus area brought into focus just before the depressing of the release button is released. The control part performs focusing operation in the focus area shown by the focus area information stored in the memory when the release button is depressed again before the elapsed time measured by the timer exceeds predetermined information duration time. Since the focusing operation need not be done all over again, the focus area to be brought into focus is decided in a short period of time and the shutter release moment is prevented from being missed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
