PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mask personal information from a sequential file containing personal information, based on a data structure. SOLUTION: The structure information 103 of the sequential file 102 including a DB structure containing personal information is stored. Based on the structure information 103, the data items of the sequential file 102 that are to be masked are displayed along with choices of masking method. The input of the choice selected is accepted. Based on this, the corresponding masking method is applied to elements of character sequence data belonging to the data items contained in the sequential file 102, and conversion is performed to create a masking program 151c8 including a loop command for creating a test sequential file 104, a record read command, a data manipulation command corresponding to the masking method, and a record write command.
