PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overturning-prevention device to surely prevent overturning of a heavy apparatus by vibration of an earthquake or the like even in the case of installing a box-shaped apparatus body indoors where fixing bolts cannot be installed. SOLUTION: The overturning-prevention device arranged between a box-shaped apparatus body with width larger than the depth and an installation floor surface, comprises an installation base member fixed to the bottom of the box-shaped apparatus body, a rail member wherein arc-shaped rails for slidably supporting the installation base member are arranged on the installation floor surface from the front face through the rear face of the apparatus body, and a restoration force applying means for restoring the installation base member to a steady state resisting the displacement of the installation base member toward the front/rear faces in addition to the restoring force deriving from own weight of the arc-shaped rails and the installation base member. The center of curvature radius of the arc-shaped rails is positioned higher than the position of the center of gravity of the apparatus body plus the installation base member.
