A fire-fighting assembly has an articulated pipe arm terminating in a nozzle. The articulated arm is supported by a platform e.g. prior art fire-fighting appliance. The articulated arm has two or more joined segments to bring the nozzle close to the seat of the fire. The segmented assembly in manoeuvrable in the horizontal and vertical planes. The segmented pipes incorporate liquid seals. The pipes and seals are made of heat-resistant materials. The pipe nozzle zone bears an infrared camera within a water-cooled jacket. The camera image is monitored from a remote position.
