A preparation method of red ginseng is provided to maintain the original form of ginseng and to enhance the efficacy by spraying low-pressure water on green ginseng soaked in water for washing away foreign substances. A preparation method of red ginseng comprises the steps of: soaking green ginseng in water for 1~5min and spraying water on the green ginseng to wash away foreign substances; steaming the washed green ginseng in a steamer at 70~85°C for 1~4hr; drying the steamed ginseng in a drier at 0~50°C for 4~5day; aging the dried ginseng at 25~40°C for 3~12mon; and naturally drying the aged ginseng at room temperature for at least 2days.
