PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an object image, an information window and its shadow image displayed on a map image from disturbing observation of the map image when scrolling the pap. SOLUTION: The map display system comprises: an image display means 34 for displaying an object image on the map image; an information window display means 35 for displaying object information corresponding to the object image; and a shadow image display means 36 for displaying the shadow image of at least either the object image or the information window display image. In the map display system, the map display system includes: a map scroll detection means 33 for detecting operation of scrolling the map image; and an image display control means 38. When the map scroll detection means 33 detects the map image scrolling operation, the image display control means 38 displays at least one of the object image, the information window image, and their shadow images as an image which does not disturb the observation of the map image.
