PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce an encrypted content decrypted by using an encryption key recorded on one recording medium at different places at the same time in a limited way. SOLUTION: A host device 100 for reproducing the encrypted content provisionally copies the encryption key stored in an information recording area 121 of a key medium 120 to a provisional-key storage memory 102 via a host I/F 124 and a key medium insertion section 104. Further, the host device 100 is provided with a provisional-key usage limitation processing section 101 for managing the validity of the copied key information on the basis of the captured provisional-key usage limitation information to thereby be capable of reproducing the provisional encrypted content.
