PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus having an optical filter means which changes a spectral characteristic in a wide dynamic range and according to a brightness of a photographic subject and photographs. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus has an imaging element 21, and the optical filter means 20 which inserts and removes a plurality of optical elements selectively to an in-optical-path of a light going from a photographic optical system 10 through the imaging element. The plural optical elements include a hybrid infrared cutting filter L2 having an infrared cutting action and an ND action together, and the optical filter means drives the plural optical elements with one driving means.
