PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately achieve the positioning of a transparent original on an original stand glass even when bending is generated in a film guide molded by a thin frame-shaped plastic member or the like. SOLUTION: This image reading device includes a plurality of guide members of a cantilever tongue-shaped elastic member whose one end is fixed to the film guide at both the sides of a window for mounting a transparent original of the film guide. Even when bending is generated in the film guide, the other end of the guide member is brought into contact with an original stand and a transparent original, and the positioning of the transparent original is performed.
