PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder for crime prevention which can be easily installed at a door and which reliably records the face of a visitor. SOLUTION: In the image recorder 10 for crime prevention, an imaging system provided with a CCD 27 is arranged at an outdoor unit 20 arranged on the outer surface of the door. Thus, even in the case of installing the image recorder 10 utilizing a through hole of a door scope, only a fastening part 40 which fastens the outdoor unit 20 and an indoor unit 30 and a wiring which connects the outdoor unit 20 with the indoor unit 30 electrically are arranged at the through hole of a door scope. At the outdoor unit 20, a wedge prism 26 which makes the center axis of a visibility angle with respect to the outside of the door of the CCD 27 face obliquely upward compared with a normal line direction with respect to the outer surface of the door, so that the face of the visitor is recorded reliably.
