IMAGE FIXING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose an image fixing device which attains a cost reduction associated with electricity by evading the generation of an inrush current with simple configuration and eliminating the need to allow a margin in power source capacity. SOLUTION: The image fixing device is equipped with a heating element having a heat generating means for fixing the toner on a transfer material and a pressurization object for pressing the toner to the transfer body by forming a nip section with the heating element. The heating element is a carbon lamp emitting IR rays and is provided with reflection member for locally limiting the heating range by the carbon lamp to the nip section. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
