PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building plate which facilitates formation of a building member such as a corner member that can easily match a pattern and a color with those of an external wall, to thereby prevent degraded appearance of the external wall. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the building plate, a square substrate 1 having at least one of an embossing pattern and a printed pattern on a surface thereof, has a male tongue 2 formed at one edge thereof, and a female groove 3 formed at the other edge, to which the male tongue 2 of the other substrate 1 is fitted. Then a cutting positioning mark 4 for cutting the substrate 1 is calibrated on the male tongue 2 at a location that is to be fitted into the female groove 3. Thus by cutting the building plate A with reference to the cutting positioning mark 4, a pair of strip-shaped plates 6, 6 are formed, and side edges of the respective strip-shaped plates 6, 6 are connected together to form the corner member B. In this manner, the corner member B is arranged adjacently to the other building plate A produced in the same step of the building plate A which has been used for forming the corner member B.
