PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that permits highly efficient separation and recovery of p-DCB with a high purity at a high recovery ratio by simple separation equipment on obtaining p-DCB by adsorptive separation from a DCB isomer mixture containing p-DCB and at least one DCB isomer. SOLUTION: On obtaining p-dichlorobenzene by adsorptive separation from a dichlorobenzene isomer mixture, p-dichlorobenzene is separated and recovered using as an adsorbent an X-type zeolite comprising at least one alkaline earth metal selected from among magnesium, calcium, strontium and barium and potassium in the presence of a desorbent comprising an alkyl-substituted aromatic compound.
