PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder which can correctly supply an object under servo control to a target position even when a load suddenly changes, and to provide a paper feeder and a method for controlling paper-feeding. SOLUTION: A conveyance position and a conveyance speed of a recording medium are detected by using an encoder. Then, a conveyance target position of the recording medium is generated by a preliminarily set period. The conveyance target position is corrected. A PWM signal is generated on the basis of the generated or corrected conveyance target position, and the detected and fed-back conveyance position and conveyance speed of the recording medium. A DC motor is servo-controlled by the PWM signal. At this time, the generated or corrected conveyance target position and the detected conveyance position of the recording medium are compared with each other.
