PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray diagnostic apparatus, capable of acquiring a visual field outside a standard visual field when an image system moving mechanism reaches its operation limit. SOLUTION: This X-ray diagnostic apparatus is provided with an X-ray generator 3 irradiating X-ray to a subject, an X-ray aperture 4 controlling the irradiation range of the X-ray to the subject by driving a plurality of aperture vanes 41-44, an X-ray detector outputting the X-ray transmitting through the X-ray aperture and the subject as image data, a display displaying the output image data as images, and the image system moving mechanism moving the image system including the X-ray generator 3, the X-ray aperture 4 and the X-ray detector to the subject in a prescribed direction within a prescribed range. This apparatus is further provided with an aperture operation mechanism driving the aperture vanes 41-44 for acquiring the visual field in the standard visual field in the operation range of the image system moving mechanism and, when the image system moving mechanism reaches its operation limit, capable of driving the aperture vanes so as to acquire the visual field outside the standard visual field.
