摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an in-cylinder injection type spark ignition internal combustion engine capable of obtaining favorable homogeneous combustion by changing a combustion state based on characteristics of fuel when enhancing a tumble flux using fuel injected in a homogeneous combustion time. <P>SOLUTION: An ECU (Electronic Control Unit) 1A generating a tumble flux T inside a cylinder, and controlling an internal combustion engine 50 enhancing the tumble flux T with fuel injected near a bottom dead-center in an air intake stroke in a homogeneous combustion time, comprises: a determining means for characteristics of fuel determining the characteristics of the fuel; and a means for changing a combustion state changing the combustion state based on the determined characteristics of the fuel. When the fuel has a characteristic with an air-fuel ratio of a stoichi smaller than that of gasoline, the means for changing the combustion state changes the combustion state by delaying ignition timing, for example.
