PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce backup capacity which is the size of a backup range. SOLUTION: This backup control device refers to duplicate management information including first storage place information indicating a storage place of first information resources and second storage place information indicating a storage place of second information resources overlapping the first information resources, and specifies the first information resources stored in the place indicated in the first storage place information, and the second information resources stored in the place indicated in the second storage place information corresponding to the first storage place information, out of a plurality of information resources belonging to the backup range. The backup control device then substitutes the specified second information resources with related information indicating relation to the specified first information resources, and backs up the backup range with the second information resources substituted with the related information.
