PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature detection circuit and a correction method of the temperature detection circuit, capable of correcting a detected temperature accurately even when not actually held at an operation temperature. SOLUTION: The temperature detection circuit 1 includes a diode 2 for temperature detection for outputting a temperature detection signal of a voltage corresponding to a temperature, and a pulse density modulation circuit 5 for outputting a pulse signal having a pulse density in proportion to a voltage of a temperature detection signal from the diode 2 for temperature detection. The temperature detection circuit 1 has a constitution wherein the density of the pulse signal outputted from the pulse density modulation circuit 5 is adjusted so that the sum of a pulse signal density when the diode 2 for temperature detection is held at a prescribed correction temperature and a pulse signal density when the diode 2 for temperature detection is held at a prescribed operation temperature becomes 100%.
